Welcome to Brett Hammel.com! Brett Hammel is a visual artist who graduated from Purchase College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Arts. Hammel’s work revolves around referencing the natural world as well abstracting and breaking-down elements of portraiture. Hammel works in a variety of drawing, painting, and printmaking media. He also takes great influence from painter Alex Katz in his portraits. This website is meant as both a portfolio and archive of his work.
